Determine a location:
This could be as simple as a room in the place you are staying. Other ideas: find a place outside (weather permitting), go to a park, spread a blanket on the floor and have a ‘Church on the Go™’ picnic, sit around a camp fire, do it with a meal or with a special treat (we suggest ice cream), find a picnic bench, in the car while traveling…the sky is the limit!
Select your Activity Card(s):
Starting oldest to youngest select from the 6 cards until they are all gone. If you have more than 6 participant’s you can have more than one person per card. We suggest everyone gets a partner and work together.
To assist you in your role, we have provided some ideas. However, it is your chance to be creative and make it the type of Church on the Go™ that you want it to be. We are just providing a loose structure and a few resources. You can add your own spin to your family’s COTG.

- Definition of Characteristic with Discussion
- Opening Prayer and Leader of COTG’s
- Music
- Bible Verse/Story Lead
- Offering, Sharing of the Peace and Lord’s Prayer Lead
- Closing Prayer and Cleaning Coordinator
Pick a Theme Card:
Each of these 40+ cards will define a characteristic such as: Integrity, Faithfulness, Perserverence and many more! The characteristic will have a simple definition and a bible verse/story that go along with the characteristic. It may also include a music suggestion.
